Geocycle had very specific requirements and expectations of what their new pre-shredder should be able to accomplish. The input material is baled pre-RDF, made from a mix of MSW (70%) and Industrial Waste (30%) \u2013 a challenging fraction that in itself requires a special breed of pre-shredder.<\/p>\n

Add to that Geocycle\u2019s towering ambitions for capacity, and the field only narrows further. The choice fell on the powerful and stable M&J PreShred 4000S with 10 knives. A solution that efficiently shreds up to 35 tonnes per hour of the unpredictable and uneven fractions that the company receives every day.<\/p>\n

The pre-shredder has long since met all KPIs \u2013 in terms of capacity, in terms of maintenance costs and in terms of end-product quality. The latter has had a major impact on the calorific value of the RDF in the kilns that ensure efficient cement production.<\/p>\n

Performance is always a crucial parameter when evaluating an investment. While it is of course important that the machine performs as expected, it is equally important that it does so without issue, day after day, year after year.<\/p>\n
